After rapper Cardi B went viral for her straight-talk about the government shutdown last week, it's time to get used to seeing her in the sort of Twitter conversations we normally reserve for pundits. But don't worry—she is putting her own loquacious spin on the proceedings. Her next target: Fox News contributor __Tomi Lahren, who she took to task Sunday by wielding an unusual threat.

Lahren should have anticipated what would happen when she threw down the gauntlet over the singer’s Instagram posts denouncing Donald Trump . First, Lahren tagged Cardi in a tweet that read “Looks like @iamcardib is the latest genius political mind to endorse the Democrats. HA! Keep it up, guys! #MAGA2020,” responding to the series of videos in which Cardi criticized Trump over the shutdown . Days later, Cardi quoted Lahren’s tweet and added “Leave me alone I will dog walk you.”

You aren’t alone in needing to look that one up. For the record, Urban Dictionary defines “dog walk” in part as “you’re dragging them as if you were walking a dog.” Lahren was quick to respond with “I’m sure you would. Still doesn’t make your political rambling any less moronic,” prompting Cardi to allege the Fox Nation host was “blinded with racism”:

The back-and-forth did eventually turn to policy. Shortly after, Cardi quoted a separate account inquiring after her views on healthcare, but Lahren nonetheless chimed in “You do realize these high taxes you complain about are the bedrock of the Democratic Party, right?”

Twitter, it seems, was largely on Cardi’s side . Lahren, long the target of liberal jokes and Twitter ire, was treated to a new round of Tammys .
