Three More COVID Related Deaths; 71 New Cases

Jamaica’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 1,111 after the virus claimed three more lives.   The latest cases are a 79-year-old man from St. Elizabeth, a 52-year-old St. Ann man and a 66-year-old woman who resided in Kingston.     Additionally, 71 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed on Thursday from 958 samples.   The positivity rate is 7.1 per cent.   The overall case count is 50,568.   The number of persons being treated for the virus in hospital has declined by 25 to 113.   Fourteen of the cases are critical.
